John Ramsey, JonBenét Ramsey’s father, revealed that he received a bombshell letter after his appearance in the documentary about his daughter’s death.
Little Miss JonBenét was only 6 years old when she was brutally murdered in 1996, a case that remains unsolved to this day, a topic addressed in the new Netflix documentary Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey?
John gave a testimony for the documentary that aired last month, and he has now revealed that he received a shocking letter with a supposed clue about his daughter’s killer, nearly 30 years after her death.
He said he was stunned when reading the letter from a woman claiming her ex-husband was JonBenét’s murderer. Although he tried calling the woman who sent the letter, no one answered the phone number.
“Based on all this publicity, I recently received a letter from a lady saying, ‘My ex-husband is the killer, and I’ve kept this to myself for as long as I could – please, please call me,'” John said.
“We tried to reach her, but she didn’t answer the phone, so I don’t know. We’ve shared this with a private investigator.”
Although John admitted that solving the case “won’t change his life at this point,” he hopes it will bring some closure and help the lives of his children, JonBenét’s siblings, and his grandchildren.
